Bio Digest" & "Bioptim" from Prodibio.

www.prodibio.fr
take my tank as an example: (150 gallon on display + 30 gallon on sump)
Biodigest: 2 ampoules/bi week
Bioptim: 2 ampoules/bi week (alternative with Biodigest)
Reefbooster: 1ampoule/week or 1ampoule/bi week

Danny,
This product is not commonly on sale at the fish shop, any suggestion ? and how is the price ?
After use Dennerle FB8 & turbo filterperlen, the NO3 reduced from 90 to 40 ppm very soon ...
I also add in the SERA nitrafluid to increase the anaerobic bacteria ..
Thanks

Hi Atlas,
You are right. Indeed you won't see these items sold in Taiwan. At least not in my knowledge.
I usually travel to a specialty aquarium shop in south bay area (in SFO) to get these stuff. The pricing is around us$40 (actually $38.xx) per box, (30 ampoules/box) regardless of Bioptim, Biodigest, Reefbooster, Biotrace. Perhaps I'm a good customer with the owner; he may give me some graceful pricing. Well he should.
By the way, as I travel within Far East area, I notice some shops in Japan carry this brand. (I forget their pricing, but should be definitely higher than what I paid in the States.) A few months ago, I had some slack time during b/t regular business hours while in HK, and I visited the famous 金魚街, Guess what, I found one shop carries it with sufficient inventory. The pricing is even more attractive than what I paid in SFO. I’ll suggest you check it out next time when you're in HK. (I would refrain myself from revealing too much on pricing, after all this site is a good forum area for people to share their caring experiences mainly).
I assume you're keeping a reef tank. The golden rule is to contain nitrate within 1mg/l. As you're using a far more advanced facility (離子分析儀) than I do, or most of other folks do, I would very much respect your own judgement on the reading honestly. Matter of fact, I test the figure on a less frequent basis by using Salifert. It seems your current approach substantially bring down the reading. That's good news. Yet I'd suggest you keep your eyes open on the captive environment meticulously Once there's a drastic change like that, your coral will most likely tell you how they like it or not.
I am sorry my knowledge about product lines from Dennier and Sera can be tracked back by more than 20 years ago for the fresh water plantation only. There're not many suggestions I can offer on both brands. However you might wanna consider installing a sulphus-based bio-denitrator. My friend has a 250 gallons tank. He installed a small bio-denitrator from Korallin. He never bothers to check out the nitrate level. And the whole system looks good to me. No nuisance algae in sight.
