haha i am just small potatoe
i wasted some money at the first few months.. therefore I went to do some researchs with some foreigner marine fish trading companies..and taiwan customs
and realized all these.
1. Do not blame the aquarium store first... but your own skill and tank 's condition.
2. most of the fishes came into taiwan with almost the same quality...
the middleman and aquarium stores play a very important role to do the quality
controls. Somehow, some of the middle layers did not do a good jobs..
3. Selling marine fish is very similar to selling Milk.... fish stayed over 1 week..it wil
become an inventory risks. Of course, if the store's tank conditions are bad..
then the fishes will die within weeks times
4. there are some good stores where their tank's condition are extremelly well
( at least with effective medication inside ) therefore their fishes live longer than
others.
5. if you see some of the stores are selling and moving out their stock quickly, then
the chance of their quality tends to be lower, as they may no have the time to
maintain the water's quality. ( this is just their business nature, if you still like
to buy the fishes from them... then you must have a better skill to do the pre-medication for these purchases ).
6. reasonable pricing ? it is a tough topic, some stores selling them with premium
because they are adding to cost of using good medication/experience/skill
However, some of them are selling higher pricing because they tend to use the
internet and marketing hype to promote the rare fish.. Nothing wrong with these... because this is business.. but as a consumer you need to think smartly
ask people in Ph8.4 to check if the price is reasonable or.. do some works of
research before you pay premium.
after all, money is in your pocket.. and you made decision.
sorry, I wish I can type all these in chinese... but my chinese typing is really really slow.
