This is an acropora florida, an easy to care for Acropora sp. Give it enough light and the tip will turn birght pinkish purple. However, throughout the time in your tank the body itself will definitely turn into dark brown color unless you have strong light. It needs moderate to strong flow. Grows rapidly when the calcium and dkh is in the proper range. I would say in the range of 11dkh and 400 calcium. HTH!

The tip will turn bright pinkish purple with enough light. I hope so.
I have two 150w HQI over it about 35-40 cm. One is AB10000k and the other is 20000k.
Is the light strong enough ?

The light combo seems odd. 10K with 20K supplement. I know for a fact that AB 10K is a good bulb with enough PAR, not sure about the 20K made by them, most of the 20K bulbs have less PAR. I am assuming you are using the 20K as blue supplements. If you can, I would try to use the 65K and 20K combo for both coral growth and coloration. 65K Iwasaki expecially has the higher PAR than AB 10K for growth and when together with the 20K, you should get a nice mild whitish coloration. Just my input. Only if you are not happy with your current set up, OK??
It is under 15 3/4 inches (?) under your light, not sure what is the actual measurement of your tank so I cannot comment on that, however, this type of coral fairs well under strong light. I have mine about 12 inches under the 250W AB 10K with 2 55W power compact actinics. The tips of the coral is now pinkish purple and the body has this really nice blue hue to it. If I were you, I will gradually move it up to at least in the mid way up of your tank. Be careful, the HQI tends to irratate the coral if you move it up too fast. Move it up once a week and have it at the place you want it in the course of a month. This coral has a lot of potential but will never turn solid blue on you. At least I have never seeing that happen. HTH!

I can't find Iwasaki 65K in Taiwan. But my 20k is made by MARCO. Somone said it is the same with Iwasaki and also named EYE. I am not sure.
The sps was located on the top of my tank. I will move the light down and try to find 65K HQI.
What do you thik about OSRAM 5200k ? It is cheap in Taiwan.
How about Ushio?

Never heard of Marco so I cannot help you on that. Most of the 20K bulbs do not have enough PAR value needed for corals. Even the German made 400W 20K bulbs are consider to have low PAR, I cannot comment on this MArco bulb.
Ushio?? What kind of bulb are you looking for?? Ushio 10 k is nice. It is atually a true 10K bulb. AB 10K is not true 10K but rather than 9000K. I am switching my bulbs actually to Ushio. I received them a week ago. I just want to burn out my AB 10K as I still have til the end of the year to reach its full life span.
Another way I would suggest is for you to get the Ushio 10K on both MH and add Power Compact actinics for blue supplementation. What do you think???
Do not go with Osram 52K, it will be too yellow. Find something 55K and higer. If you find the coloration too yellow, yuo can always add the actinic supplement. HTH!
