bought this to replace my Vertex IN-100 which works quite well but, I probably have more bio load for what it can handle. So, here's comes Skimz SK181.

time for some pictures.

I use vinegar bath for few hours and rinse off using tap water.

at this point I am extremely satisfy on how it performs, I am now looking forward on tuning this skimmer. Currently, water outlet and air adjustment valve are fully open.

I skipped the vinegar and warm water rinse, get it straight to work. It worked right out of the box. Steady performance, and I am too very satisfied with the unit.

I washed it just to get any possible residue out. Knowing these definitely hand made, judging by the uneven base, and there's a few strain of linen glue to the collection cup. It probably left there when they wipe it with towel pior to gluing.

other than that, I am happy with it. Good price, small foot print, large collection cup, etc.

on the side note, my skimmer pump makes a few clunking noise when it gets power up.

另外之前我也用醋
後來魚友推薦檸檬酸效果一樣
成本還比較低喔

你的主缸落水到底缸以目前的設計有可能會影響蛋白效能
建議你修改一下.應該會讓這隻蛋白發揮到更好
