那一般雜誌或論壇怎麼選擇一個他們願意發表的魚缸呢?
一般有幾個重點，我摘錄如下 (摘自Reefkeeping..RC, Ultimate, TRT, ZEOvit, etc...大多一樣，僅小部分差異)，希望對一些早已具備或有心準備的魚友有所幫助...

How long has the system been running?
這缸養多久了?
[老齊: 3個月新缸應該是不可能的]
How do the corals and livestock look?
珊瑚及其他生物看起來健康嗎?
[老齊: 這裡指的是全面性的，而非一兩顆丶或三四隻]
Is the reef visually appealing, or does anything detract from it (frag racks, PVC, dirty glass)?
整體質感如何? 有東西譲觀賞者分心嗎? (管線雜亂丶斷隻擺設突杌丶玻璃髒兮兮嗎）
[老齊: 台灣魚友普遍失分，不過最近有些缸已在走精緻路線了。好棒棒!]
What do the pictures look like (are the colors realistic)? Are the images good enough to use?
照片看來真實嗎(尤其是顏色)? 品質好到之後可以拿來發表嗎?
[老齊: 所以不要再跟我説什麼啊我就調到LED藍燈開下去肉眼看到的顏色呀....]
Does the reef look natural, or like a fruit-vendor stand? Have the corals grown in, or does it look like the owner spent significant funds to get an instant-reef?
整體魚缸看起來自然嗎?還是像水果拼盤?珊瑚是在缸內成長?還是缸主花一筆錢堆出來的曇花一現?

What is the hobbyist’s philosophy when it comes to reef keeping?
缸主養海水的哲理為何?

Is the tank a good example for others to emulate, thus qualifying as a future Tank of the Month?
